Senior Production Engineer

About the role

Bellevue Gold Limited operates its 100% owned high-grade Bellevue gold mine in Western Australia, with underground mining since late 2020 and a forecast production of about 150,000 gold ounces per year. This permanent full-time Senior Production Engineer position is based in Perth and supports the Planning Team in delivering weekly schedules aligned with 3MS and budget, while also leading and developing the Production Engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Planning Team with weekly schedules, production meetings and safe, compliant daily and weekly plans with the mining contractor
• Develop safe production designs for drilling, charging and remote bogging, and prepare work instructions and technical documentation
• Conduct stope reconciliations, monitor performance and drive improvement actions
• Maintain drill and blast standards, guidelines and templates; manage data collection, analysis and reporting
• Oversee contractor performance and support ventilation planning and surveys
• Undertake underground inspections, audits and critical control checks, and help the Statutory Ventilation Officer with compliance
• Manage and support minor contracts such as raisebore and underground civil works
• Lead, manage and develop the Production Engineering team, mentoring Production and Graduate Engineers

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering
• First Class Mine Manager's Certificate (essential)
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate completed
• 5+ years of professional mining engineering experience, including underground mining
• WA-based with experience of the local area
• Experience managing teams and contractors, and strong communication and analytical skills
