Senior Product Manager - Home Loan Settlement

About the role

Unloan, a digital lending venture backed by CommBank, is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the automation and simplification of its home loan settlement experience. You will own a complex product end-to-end, from discovery through delivery, turning technology and customer needs into seamless experiences. The role sits in the Origination crew, covering the customer journey from unconditional approval through to formal settlement, and can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

• Own key settlement initiatives end-to-end, from discovery through delivery and testing.
• Lead automation and technically complex solutions across backend systems, integrations and APIs.
• Progress direct PEXA integration and automate associated settlement workflows.
• Partner with engineers, designers, Line 1 Risk and other delivery partners to deliver customer and business outcomes.
• Prioritise opportunities and make considered trade-offs to simplify key customer moments after approval.
• Challenge established approaches, test ideas and adapt as customer needs, technology and priorities evolve.

Required profile

• Strong technical mindset, curiosity and confidence working closely with engineers while keeping customer outcomes in mind.
• Ideally product management, product ownership or relevant experience in a technically complex environment.
• Experience in or around home lending, where technology and lending journeys intersect.
• Experience owning work end-to-end, from exploring opportunities through design, delivery and testing.
• Ability to balance customer experience, technical complexity and business needs, and to navigate ambiguity.

Required skills

• Strong technical understanding and ability to work with engineers across backend systems, integrations and APIs.
• Product management experience is valuable, though people from adjacent technical disciplines who have worked closely with product teams are also considered.
