Senior Product Manager - Bank Guarantees

About the role

CommBank's Business Banking team is hiring two permanent, full-time Senior Product Managers for its Bank Guarantees team in Sydney CBD. The role covers complex product, risk, governance and customer outcomes, shaping the portfolio's direction and driving initiatives that improve customer experience, reduce risk and strengthen operational performance. About 50% of the work is done in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic product initiatives and portfolio priorities, and drive product enhancements that improve customer, operational and risk outcomes.
• Influence product prioritisation using evidence-based insights and data.
• Lead complex incidents, issues and remediation activities where required, and design and implement control improvements.
• Support delivery of regulatory, governance and risk commitments.
• Build relationships across Product, Operations, Technology, Risk and frontline teams, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
• Contribute to the long-term strategy of the Bank Guarantees portfolio and explore how AI, automation and digital capabilities can improve efficiency, controls and customer outcomes.

Required profile

• Currently operating as a Senior Product Manager or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading complex product, operational, customer, risk or regulatory outcomes, and a track record of stakeholder influence and delivery.
• Experience leading initiatives across multiple teams and business units, and navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
• Strong customer, commercial and risk judgement, and comfort working across business and technology teams.
• An interest in AI, automation and digital innovation, and a willingness to learn independently about Bank Guarantees systems and priorities.
• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.
