Senior Product Designer

About the role

Cadmus is building a platform that transforms assessment experiences for millions of students and thousands of academics. As a Senior Product Designer you will own core platform areas, raising visual and interaction quality across the entire ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of the Cadmus design system, introducing premium visual polish, type hierarchy, and spatial layout.
• Turn dense academic workflows—grading, rubric creation, analytics—into visually stunning, tactile experiences.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure pixel‑perfect implementation of micro‑interactions, transitions, and precise spacing.
• Balance high‑craft design with pragmatic shipping, making trade‑offs that are both beautiful and buildable.
• Conduct user research to surface insights that inform elegant solutions for complex usability problems.

Required profile

• 8+ years designing complex SaaS, B2B2C or premium prosumer products with impeccable visual taste.
• Strong systems thinking, comfortable building living design systems, tokens, and scalable component architecture.
• Excellent product judgment and the ability to align design decisions with engineering constraints.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma for high‑fidelity UI design.
• Solid understanding of HTML/CSS, including flexbox layouts and responsive design.
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems and component libraries.
