Design Operations Coordinator

About the role

As a Design Operations Coordinator you will create the conditions and growth opportunities that enable designers to deliver their best work. You will manage tools, platforms and onboarding processes while collaborating with business partners to drive engagement, consistency and visibility across the design community. The role supports the Design Operations function in building an engaged, effective and efficient design community across ANZ.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan delivery of design initiatives and events, removing operational blockers that affect team efficiency.
• Support rollout and maintenance of workflows, templates and guides to ensure consistency across teams.
• Maintain operational resources such as the Design Hub, keeping standards, governance and documentation up to date.
• Design and run onboarding experiences, assist recruitment processes and lead learning sessions, town halls and design showcases.
• Manage access to core design tools (Figma, Figjam, Adobe Creative Cloud) and troubleshoot tooling issues.
• Support research operations, including tool access, participant recruitment and privacy protocols.
• Identify, assess and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and company policies.

Required profile

• Experience as a Design Operations Coordinator, Team Assistant, Project Manager or Studio Manager supporting creative teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills with exposure to vendor relationships.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with excellent organisational abilities.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) and inclusive design principles.
• Background in agency, consultancy or enterprise design environments and tertiary qualifications in design, communication, business administration or related field.
