Senior Procurement Officer - Brisbane

About the role

Lycopodium, a global provider of professional engineering and project delivery services, is recruiting a Senior Procurement Officer for its Brisbane office. Reporting to the Group Manager Projects & Studies, the role covers purchasing, expediting, transport logistics and freight schedules, and maintains procedures and information reporting for various projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, monitor and report progress of activities needed for timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation and award of purchase orders.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimal prices and deliveries of equipment meeting project technical, schedule and commercial requirements.
• Analyse and evaluate quotations commercially to choose the right supplier.
• Develop and maintain an effective vendor data (including manuals) and goods tracking system, company-wide and project-specific.
• Implement and monitor the procurement schedule against the overall delivery schedule.
• Support the Project team in preparing project deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum of 7 years of procurement experience, with significant experience on mining projects.
• Previous experience on international projects, with Africa preferred.
• Sound knowledge of international and local tendering and contract laws, regulations and practices.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
