Senior Pricing Manager - Portfolio Optimisation & Profitability

About the role

ING Australia is seeking a Senior Pricing Manager (internally called Senior Customer Journey Expert - Mortgage Pricing) to lead portfolio optimisation and pricing strategy for its mortgage business. Reporting to the Product Area Lead, Pricing & Credit Risk, Mortgages, the role uses data-driven insights to drive profitable growth, optimise portfolio performance and shape strategic pricing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead portfolio optimisation across the mortgage value chain, identifying key performance drivers and growth opportunities.
• Develop and execute pricing strategies that improve profitability, reduce attrition and increase customer lifetime value.
• Optimise balance sheet performance through margin management, ROE improvement and cost-to-serve insights.
• Forecast portfolio and revenue performance and recommend actions based on emerging trends and market dynamics.
• Enhance pricing sophistication through advanced analytics, lifecycle modelling and executive-level business case development.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in banking portfolio management, mortgage pricing, retail banking or consulting within financial services.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Studies or a related field.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders through strategic thinking, data-led insights and executive communication.

Required skills

• Advanced analytical and modelling capability.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS or similar data tools.
• Deep understanding of banking products, profitability drivers and portfolio economics.
