Senior Premium & Credit Account Manager

About the role

Gallagher Bassett is looking for a Senior Premium and Credit Account Manager in Melbourne to provide a cost-effective, professional and customer-focused premium and credit management service for all Workers' Compensation clients. The role covers renewals, premium forecasting, risk reporting and debt management.

Key responsibilities

• Process renewals and annual adjustments to premium
• Analyse and forecast client premium projections
• Identify and report risks that may adversely affect the business
• Accurately assess and allocate Workers Compensation industry classifications, premium calculations, succession and grouping
• Maintain employer information and workplace details
• Answer premium-related queries by telephone, written correspondence or client visits
• Resolve complaints in line with company guidelines
• Create premium repayment arrangements in line with GBS and VWA guidelines
• Proactively manage the debtor position while keeping external business relationships intact
• Control the value, number, age and proportion of outstanding premium while maintaining scheme benchmarks
• Investigate legal recovery action as required
• Comply with the Accident Compensation Act 1985, Premiums Order and other legislative requirements
• Handle company and client information securely and attend training to keep technical knowledge up to date

Required profile

• Workers Compensation, premium and credit management experience
• Client service experience
• Knowledge of general business and administrative practices
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
• Time management and organisational skills
• Right to live and work in Australia

Required skills

• PC literate, with database and Microsoft Office
• Industry-specific qualifications and coaching and mentoring skills highly regarded
