Senior Planner

About the role

BESIX Watpac, a builder with over a century of heritage in Australia, is looking for a Senior Planner to join its Queensland Construction team. The role sits within a collaborative team working across tenders and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tender and project programmes, keeping them accurate and compliant with contract requirements.
• Work with pre-contract and delivery teams to prepare methodologies, bids and submissions.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and report status updates with remedial actions.
• Create and maintain records supporting contractual obligations, including extension of time claims.
• Drive innovation by adopting new planning methods, software and industry best practice.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supporting the delivery of large building projects with accurate and effective construction programmes.
• Strong knowledge of commercial requirements and processes in tendering and project delivery.
• Proven ability to manage complex tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships.
• Professionalism, initiative and sound judgement in decision-making.
