Senior Planner

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Planner to lead the planning and delivery of major civil engineering infrastructure projects in Melbourne. You will manage project programmes from tender through construction, ensuring schedules are realistic and aligned with stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop tender and master construction programmes using scope, contract and design documents.
• Coordinate with commercial, design and delivery teams to validate programme data.
• Allocate plant, labour and material resources to create achievable schedules.
• Identify time risks, perform schedule risk analysis and embed contingencies.
• Monitor progress on‑site, track against baseline and produce regular status reports.
• Analyse approved and non‑approved changes, assess impacts and support forensic delay analysis.
• Maintain programme documentation and contribute to programme management plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or vocational training in engineering or construction planning.
• Strong communication, organisational and analytical abilities.
• Proven experience in site‑based planning and scheduling for civil infrastructure.
• Commercial awareness and familiarity with standard construction contracts.
