Senior Planner – Alkimos Desalination Project

About the role

Senior Planner overseeing the development, integration and governance of the project schedule for the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant in Perth. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will drive the use of Primavera P6 and project control systems across engineering, commercial and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and update complex SMP and EIC construction programmes.
• Perform critical‑path analysis and optimise resource allocation.
• Measure schedule performance using earned‑value principles.
• Identify schedule risks early and develop recovery plans.
• Lead resource planning, levelling and utilisation reporting.
• Coordinate risk assessments and contingency planning.
• Report progress and manage stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Strong background in SMP and EIC construction planning.
• Skilled in critical‑path and resource analysis.
• Confident communicator influencing stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management.
