Senior Pharmacist – Education & Training (Permanent)

About the role

This permanent full‑time position at Bankstown Hospital offers a senior pharmacist the opportunity to lead education, training and competency development across the pharmacy workforce while maintaining high‑quality clinical and dispensary services.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate education, training and competency assessment for pharmacists, assistants, technicians, interns and students.
• Support safe dispensing and distribution of all medication types, providing guidance to the pharmacy team.
• Deliver or oversee clinical ward services, including medication reviews and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health teams to respond to clinical queries and provide evidence‑based medication information.
• Contribute to KPIs, audits, drug utilisation evaluations, research projects and the development of medication policies.

Required profile

• Full registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA, unrestricted scope of practice.
• Proven experience delivering structured education and training within a pharmacy setting.
• Ability to conduct training needs analysis, design learning activities and assess competency.
• Demonstrated teaching skills with records of teaching programs and clinical assessments.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary consultation.
