Senior Occupational Therapist

About the role

Ability Action Australia is looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join its Adelaide team, which supports NDIS participants across South Australia. The role sits within a multidisciplinary group of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners, working in settings such as childcare centres, schools, aged care facilities, day programs, the community, homes and the clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload based on negotiated hours and deliver timely therapeutic services
• Assess participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and their capacity to perform ADLs and IADLs
• Provide complex therapeutic interventions
• Supervise and mentor junior clinicians
• Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience mentoring and supervising other Occupational Therapists
• A genuine passion for working in the disability sector

• Proactive attitude and interest in continual skill development
