Senior Modelling and Simulation Engineer

About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Modelling and Simulation Engineer to lead the creation of high‑fidelity simulation architecture for next‑generation autonomous maritime and undersea vehicles. The role supports rapid design, delivery, and lifecycle support of autonomous platforms in Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and maintain simulation frameworks that accelerate capability delivery.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for physics‑based platform modelling, including environment interaction, subsystem and component models.
• Simulate Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithms and Vehicle Management System components.
• Integrate external vendor or customer models into Anduril’s simulation ecosystem.
• Create software‑ and hardware‑in‑the‑loop test fixtures and support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience with physics‑based platform modelling and simulation.
• Proficiency in C, C++ or Python and strong systems‑level programming skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

• Communication protocols such as CAN, CANFD, ARINC‑825, ARINC‑429, MIL‑STD‑1553, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, Ethernet.
