Senior Medium Term Planning Engineer

About the role

Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL) operates its 100% owned high-grade Bellevue gold mine in Western Australia, with underground mining since late 2020 and exploration ongoing to expand the resource. The company has achieved net zero greenhouse gas emissions for the project through a renewable energy power station. It is seeking a Senior Medium Term Planning Engineer in Perth, on a permanent full-time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Short-term execution: evaluate, quantify and communicate strategies as input to the 6Q schedule to ensure budget compliance; cover site-based Senior Engineers on leave or breaks; mentor site technical staff; maintain mine planning systems, procedures, standards and templates.
• Medium-term (3 months to 2 years): develop and maintain operational plans; deliver detailed area notes and capital infrastructure designs for each orebody; plan and communicate medium- and long-term infrastructure projects such as dewatering, ventilation and power; work with geology to identify high-risk areas and develop mitigation strategies.
• Long-term (life-of-mine): support the LOM planning process, align the site mining schedule with the long-term plan with the Principal Mining Engineer, and support the yearly Reserves process with accurate designs, schedules and data.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Mining Engineering.
• First Class Mine Manager's Certificate preferable.
• 5+ years of professional experience in underground mining engineering.
• Experience with paste fill and project/infrastructure experience preferable.

• Full knowledge of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Act and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, literacy, numeracy and presentation skills.
• Autonomous work, strong time management, analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
