Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

A leading engineering consultancy, which supplies engineering, surveying and geotechnical services to the building and land development industries, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer. The consultancy employs more than 300 people across Asia Pacific, with its head office in Melbourne and offices in NSW, SA, QLD and China. The position is advertised by a recruitment consultant based in Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver building services projects
• Coordinate MEP design disciplines with civil, structural and architecture teams while producing high-quality design
• Consult with clients on matters relating to engineering services
• Prepare mechanical design calculations, drawings, specifications and reports

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Services or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution
• At least five years of local Australian experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment
• Understanding of Australian standards for mechanical engineering design
• Ability to work independently and manage your own project portfolio
• Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures
• Excellent time management, organisation and client communication skills
• Registered building practitioner and/or Chartered Professional Engineer status is advantageous

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit 3D
• BIM experience is an advantage
