About the role
MPK Kinetic is looking for a Tie-in Polywelder in Brisbane. The role involves loading, cleaning and preparing HDPE pipes for welding, joining pipe sections according to industry standards and certified welding techniques, and recording welding information. It is a permanent full-time position.
Key responsibilities
- Loading, cleaning and preparing HDPE pipes to be welded
- Joining HDPE pipe sections in line with industry standards and certified welding techniques using McElroy Equipment (Dynamac, T412, T618, T900)
- Recording welding information in data logger machines
- Examining welds for bead width and conformance to specifications
- Loading and transporting weld equipment daily and preparing it for different pipe sizes
- Using a chainsaw to cut pipe
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience conducting tie-in and golden welds
- Experience in electro-fusion welding, including fittings and saddles up to 800mm
- Previous CSG experience required
- Preferred: experience in squeeze-off and hot tap installation
Required skills
- Electro-fusion welding
- Gas tester competency (MSMWHS217)
