Senior Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building services design on a range of high‑impact projects in Brisbane. You will work within a collaborative, high‑performing team delivering engineering solutions for sectors such as aviation, health, defence, data centres and major events.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical design packages for mid‑ to large‑scale projects.
• Act as discipline lead, owning outcomes from concept through to delivery.
• Advise clients on complex engineering challenges and provide integrated design solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, coordinated designs.
• Support project coordination, reporting and quality assurance.
• Build and maintain client relationships through consistent communication.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered, registered, or actively working towards chartership.
• Proven experience delivering building services mechanical design in consulting, contractor or client‑side environments.
• Demonstrated ownership of design delivery and client interaction.
• Ability to mentor and train junior engineers.
• Proactive approach with strong communication and teamwork skills.
