About the role
KPMG Law’s Tax Dispute Resolution & Controversy team is seeking an experienced senior manager to advise a broad range of clients on domestic and cross‑border tax issues, manage disputes with the ATO and other revenue authorities, and contribute to a growing national practice.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and manage client disputes with the Australian Taxation Office, AusIndustry and State/Territory revenue authorities, including complex reviews, audits and litigation.
- Develop written and oral advocacy, brief counsel, and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Collaborate with specialist groups across KPMG’s Tax & Legal practice nationally and internationally.
Required profile
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Big 4 professional services firm, law firm or government tax department.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and project management abilities.
- Demonstrated ethical approach and alignment with KPMG’s values of integrity, excellence and collaboration.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of corporate, international and tax law, including dispute resolution.
- Ability to integrate information from diverse sources and assess broader business impact.
