Senior Manager, Private Enterprise

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia is looking for a Senior Manager to join its Sydney Private Enterprise team (also called Business Services). The role suits a self-driven person who wants to build their own brand and grow their business development skills on a clear pathway to Partnership. The team advises business leaders on daily operations, tax and compliance, competition and exit strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of large privately-owned businesses and their owners, and collaborate with other teams across the firm nationally
• Build close working relationships with clients and offer proactive, practical solutions to their challenges
• Develop and implement commercial structures that help clients achieve their business and personal goals
• Develop and inspire a team of Associates and Senior Associates
• Take part in business development to grow the portfolio and build the desired specialisation

Required profile

• Qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or another relevant professional or overseas qualification
• CA / CPA qualified, or other relevant industry accreditation
• Diverse business advisory experience, including private business and high-net-worth clients, leading strategic projects
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of client organisations
• Significant people management and leadership capability
