Senior Manager – Fixed Base Operations (FBO) – Cairns

About the role

The Senior Manager – Fixed Base Operations (FBO) in Cairns will lead a small team delivering high‑level customer service while overseeing the arrival, departure and turnaround of corporate aircraft at Cairns Airport. The role also includes continuous training, development of staff and operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• People Management – motivate, appraise and schedule staff, including casual employees.
• Business Development – identify and develop new business opportunities, run local marketing campaigns and maintain the CRM and aircraft database.
• Customer Service – ensure exceptional service, maintain a clean facility and coordinate third‑party suppliers.
• Administration & Operations – comply with Jet Aviation WHS&E policies, regulatory requirements and FBO manuals; manage aircraft movements, ramp duties and record keeping in FBO One.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing small teams in an aviation or high‑pressure environment.
• Ability to plan rosters, conduct risk assessments and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills with airport authorities, suppliers and customers.
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISBAH and WHS&E policies.
