Senior Manager Cyber Security – Technology Consulting

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the design, transformation and delivery of cyber security services for major organisations across Australia. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guiding vulnerability management programmes and driving risk‑based security outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise vulnerability management programmes.
• Assess current‑state cyber security capabilities and recommend governance, maturity and operational enhancements.
• Design and operate complex, risk‑based vulnerability management services that reduce organisational risk.
• Provide leadership and oversight across client engagements, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members while supporting business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating complex vulnerability management programmes that have reduced organisational risk.
• Strong consulting and advisory background, including maturity assessments and uplift recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements, manage senior stakeholders and communicate executive‑level insights.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing cyber security professionals.
• Ability to obtain or hold an NV1 Security Clearance.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with vulnerability management and scanning platforms such as Qualys, Nessus, ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (SNOW VR) or Nucleus.
• Technical oversight of multidisciplinary teams in cyber security projects.
