Senior Manager Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Projects

About the role

Lead communications, community consultation and stakeholder engagement for major development projects across NSW, helping communities understand change and building confidence in outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Represent DPHI at community forums, stakeholder meetings and public engagement activities, communicating approved positions and managing sensitive issues.
• Establish and maintain influential relationships across government, industry and community to anticipate concerns, identify collaboration opportunities and build support.
• Lead cross‑agency coordination to resolve complex issues, align objectives and ensure compliance with NSW Government policy, probity and legislative requirements.

Required profile

• Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills with a proven ability to build trusted relationships and align diverse interests.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex information into clear, persuasive messages.
• Strong problem‑solving capability, using sound judgement and strategic thinking for sensitive, evolving issues.
• Demonstrated leadership experience guiding teams and stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes.
• Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, policy or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations and work outside core business hours.
