Senior Lead, Governance and Reporting

About the role

The Senior Lead, Governance and Reporting will support ANZ’s Corporate Enablement functions by delivering robust non‑financial risk governance and reporting. Working closely with the Governance & Reporting leadership team, you will integrate risk, control and assurance perspectives to enable effective risk assessment and decision‑making across the division.

Key responsibilities

• Aggregate and synthesize risk and control information from multiple teams to produce clear, actionable reports.
• Develop and maintain risk profiles and assessments for business units and value chains.
• Coordinate inputs from Centres of Excellence and Controls Testing to ensure high‑quality governance outcomes.
• Monitor risks against appetite, manage escalations, and support tracking and reporting activities.
• Assist regulatory change initiatives through assessment coordination, action planning and delivery tracking.
• Contribute to risk insights, deep‑dives and thematic reviews to improve business understanding.
• Support root‑cause analysis, lessons‑learned activities and issue‑management processes.
• Prepare governance reporting, presentations and briefing materials for senior management and governance forums.
• Build effective relationships with business stakeholders and risk partners across the organisation.

Required profile

• Significant experience in risk governance, reporting or enterprise risk management within a large financial institution.
• Strong analytical ability to translate complex risk data into concise insights.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing reports and presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Proven capability to work collaboratively across diverse business functions.
