Senior Internal Auditor & Analytics

About the role

An opportunity is available for a commercially minded Senior Auditor & Analytics professional to join a lean internal audit team in Sydney. The role focuses on leveraging data analytics and automation to enhance audit effectiveness across operational and corporate functions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct end‑to‑end internal audits across diverse functions such as supply chain, production, treasury, tax, accounting and sustainability.
• Apply data analytics and automation tools to improve audit coverage, analyse large datasets and identify trends, anomalies and control weaknesses.
• Utilise Alteryx, Power BI and Power Automate (or comparable technologies) to generate actionable insights.
• Assess business risks, evaluate control effectiveness and recommend process improvements.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate findings, present recommendations and support implementation.

Required profile

• Experience conducting end‑to‑end internal audits across multiple business functions or within a complex organisation.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking with commercial judgement and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Relevant qualifications such as CA, CPA or CIA are advantageous but not essential.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Alteryx.
• Proficiency in Power BI.
• Proficiency in Power Automate.

• Competitive base salary $130,000‑$150,000 plus 13% superannuation and a 15‑20% bonus.
