Senior Internal Audit Manager

About the role

The Senior Internal Audit Manager will lead complex audits and provide independent assurance across operational, financial, compliance and strategic areas. Reporting to senior executives, the Audit Committee and the Board, this hybrid role works three days a week onsite with occasional travel to Bega sites in Australia and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and deliver the annual risk‑based Internal Audit Plan.
• Plan, lead and execute end‑to‑end internal audits and reviews across the business.
• Produce clear, insightful reports and recommendations; track and validate remediation.
• Coordinate and quality‑assure co‑sourced internal audit partners and specialist providers.
• Present audit results and thematic insights to the Executive Leadership Team, Risk & Audit Committee and Board.

Required profile

• Proven success delivering complex internal audit and risk engagements in large organisations.
• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience); CA or CPA preferred.
• Confident communicator able to write board‑level reports and present to executive stakeholders.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement with the ability to build trust and influence.
