Senior Interior Designer – Expression of Interest

About the role

Hassell is building a talent pool of senior interior designers for its Brisbane studio. The role involves leading design outcomes for hospitality, stadiums and sports venues, collaborating with architects, strategists and other designers to create innovative interior environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring design excellence and innovation.
• Develop and present compelling design concepts, material palettes and spatial strategies.
• Oversee documentation, ensuring high‑quality detailing and technical accuracy.
• Manage client relationships as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants and contractors to coordinate design intent and delivery.
• Mentor junior designers and support their professional growth.

Required profile

• Strong interior design experience across hospitality, stadiums and related sectors.
• Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate consultants.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience contributing to proposals or client presentations.
• Background in a multi‑disciplinary design firm is preferred.
