Senior Intelligence Specialist

About the role

The Senior Intelligence Specialist joins ANZ’s Intelligence and Threat Assessment (ITA) team to help detect, investigate and disrupt serious and organised financial crime. You will work across a range of intelligence sources, providing insights that shape risk‑management decisions and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver service offerings in line with policy, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide analysis and actionable insights to support risk‑management and operational efficiency.
• Offer expert advice on financial‑crime matters to internal stakeholders.
• Conduct in‑depth threat assessments using established financial‑crime risk indicators.
• Perform strategic reviews to identify risks and control gaps, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Analyse financial, behavioural and social‑network data to detect patterns linked to money laundering, terrorism financing and other serious crimes.
• Interrogate source systems and data repositories to extract relevant intelligence.

Required profile

• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, complex environment.
• Experience in financial‑crime intelligence, threat assessment or related risk functions.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
