Senior Hydraulic Design Engineer – Building Services

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Design Engineer to join its building services team in Brisbane. You will work on transformative projects across sectors such as aviation, health, defence, data centres and major event infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of hydraulic services design packages for mid‑to large‑scale projects.
• Advise clients on complex engineering projects from concept through to delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions.
• Support project coordination, reporting and ensure high‑quality outcomes.
• Build and maintain client relationships through consistent communication.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered, RPQ, QBCC registered, or actively working toward an equivalent professional accreditation.
• Demonstrated experience in hydraulic building services design within a consulting, contractor or client‑side environment.
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to business development.
