Senior Human Resources and Industrial Relations Advisor

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Human Resources and Industrial Relations Advisor to support a major infrastructure project in Melbourne. The role provides expert HR and IR guidance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance, effective workforce management and positive employee‑contractor relations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior HR and IR advice to project leadership and managers.
• Interpret and apply enterprise agreements, awards and other industrial instruments.
• Manage employee relations matters, including grievances, conduct and performance issues.
• Support workforce planning, mobilisation and demobilisation activities.
• Advise on industrial risk management and dispute‑resolution strategies.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with unions, workforce representatives and employees.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a senior HR/IR advisory role, preferably within project or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments and employee‑relations frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex industrial and employee‑relations matters.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
