Senior HR Manager

About the role

Geosyntec is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to lead HR activities for its Australian operations. Reporting to the EMEA HR Director, you will act as the primary HR partner for business leaders across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide, shaping employee experience and supporting growth.

Key responsibilities

• Execute regional HR priorities, aligning people initiatives with business objectives and the broader EMEA strategy.
• Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, succession, talent reviews and employee development.
• Lead HR integration for acquisitions, including systems, policies, communications and culture alignment.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, leadership effectiveness and organisational change.
• Manage complex employee‑relations matters, investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and company policies.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, HR Operations, HRIS and other functional teams.
• Analyse workforce and HR metrics to support business planning and talent strategies.

Required profile

• At least 15 years of HR experience, preferably in professional services such as engineering or environmental consulting.
• Proven track record partnering with senior business leaders on strategic workforce initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial relations and HR best practices.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions and large‑scale organisational change.
• Ability to operate as a senior country‑based HR partner within a matrixed, multinational environment.
• Excellent judgment, discretion and communication skills.
