Senior Hotel Accountant

About the role

The Senior Hotel Accountant will support the Precinct Director of Finance in day‑to‑day finance operations across the Pullman, Novotel and Ibis hotels at Sydney Olympic Park. This senior position provides higher‑level accounting oversight and technical guidance to the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Precinct Finance Manager in accurate, timely financial operations.
• Own accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliations, journals, accruals, cost allocations and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Review transactions for correct coding, approvals and compliance with Accor policies.
• Provide technical accounting support to the Hotel Accountant and wider finance team.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, escalating material issues as needed.
• Maintain effective internal controls and prepare for audits.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years relevant hotel or general accounting experience at Hotel Accountant level or equivalent.
• Proven experience with month‑end close, reconciliations, journals, accruals and financial reporting.
• Experience processing hotel payroll and knowledge of related awards and statutory requirements.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash handling and internal financial controls.
