Senior Graphic Designer

About the role

The City of Rockingham is looking for an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join its Strategy, Marketing and Communications team. The role works across digital campaigns, social media content, publications, advertising, events and corporate branding, helping to shape and strengthen the City's visual identity and its local government brand. It is a permanent, full-time position of 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Design high-quality print and digital communication materials.
• Develop creative concepts and visual assets for campaigns, events and corporate initiatives.
• Create engaging content for websites, social media and digital platforms.
• Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.
• Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliver effective design solutions.
• Provide expert design advice and contribute creative ideas that enhance communication outcomes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in graphic design, visual communication or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering graphic design, branding and visual communications that support organisational, marketing and communications objectives.
• Strong understanding of branding and maintaining visual consistency across channels.
• A strong portfolio showing creativity, technical expertise and strategic thinking.
• Experience designing for both print and digital channels.
• Excellent layout, typography and visual storytelling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and to collaborate with stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, able to produce high-quality print and digital communications.
• Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications is advantageous.

• Remuneration package from $102,707 to $110,461 per year, depending on skills and experience.
