Senior Experience Strategist

About the role

Akcelo is seeking a Senior Experience Strategist for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, based in Melbourne or Sydney. You will lead experience strategy across digital, service and brand projects, shaping human‑centred solutions for leading brands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end experience strategy and design for complex digital, service and brand touchpoints.
• Own the design process from discovery through delivery and optimisation.
• Conduct and synthesize research, creating journey maps, service blueprints, user flows, wireframes and prototypes.
• Facilitate co‑design workshops and align stakeholders across disciplines.
• Mentor other designers and champion design systems, accessibility and best practices.
• Present design thinking to clients, linking it to business and customer outcomes.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in experience, service or product design within agency, consultancy or in‑house settings.
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage client relationships and deliver outcomes.
• Strong research and synthesis capabilities, translating insights into actionable strategies.
• Portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end ownership and design impact.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Figma.
• Advanced proficiency in Miro.
• Expertise in information architecture, prototyping and design systems.
