Senior Estimator - Glazing & Aluminium Fabrication

About the role

A leading manufacturer of windows and doors is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to deliver precise, cost-effective quotations for commercial glazing and aluminium fabrication. The position is permanent and full-time, based in the northern metropolitan area of Queensland, with relocation assistance available for suitable candidates. The role suits people with strong technical knowledge of glass fabrication and commercial glazing estimating.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed and accurate estimates covering materials, labour and associated project expenses for commercial glazing contracts.
• Analyse architectural and engineering documentation to price glazing and aluminium systems effectively.
• Work with measurement teams, technical personnel and manufacturing units to validate design feasibility and budget alignment.
• Use industry-standard estimating software and supplier product data to inform quotations.
• Apply value engineering to optimise costs without compromising quality or standards.
• Liaise with procurement and production to include manufacturing considerations in cost evaluations.
• Support junior estimating staff and stay current on product developments, regulations and technical specifications.

Required profile

• Significant experience estimating for glass fabrication and commercial glazing projects.
• Advanced ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans.
• Permanent residency or Australian citizenship; sponsorship and work visas are not accepted.

Required skills

• Estimating software and familiarity with supplier product ranges.
• Interpretation of architectural and engineering drawings.
