Senior Engineering Surveyor - The Wave Project

About the role

Bennett + Bennett is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Surveyor to join its Major Projects team and help deliver The Wave, a major rail and civil construction project on the Sunshine Coast. The role supports complex infrastructure works from early construction through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project survey control networks.
• Deliver construction set-out and verification surveys.
• Manage survey data workflows and quality assurance processes.
• Prepare and review as-constructed and conformance deliverables.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering and construction teams.
• Mentor and support junior surveyors and field crews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of survey systems, processes and project delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Engineering Surveyor on major civil, rail, transport or infrastructure projects.
• Relevant qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or equivalent.
• Experience on major rail infrastructure projects, machine control and digital engineering workflows, laser scanning and point cloud processing, and large contractor environments such as Alliance or Design & Construct projects.
• Ability to develop and review survey methodologies, ITPs and survey management plans.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 12d Model and 12d Field.
• Sound understanding of survey control, construction set-out and as-constructed workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
