Senior Engineer – Generation & Storage

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer to join its Generation & Storage team in Sydney. You will work on utility‑scale wind, solar, battery storage and hybrid projects, delivering engineering designs and technical advice across the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering documentation, designs and calculations for prefeasibility, concept, detailed design and construction phases.
• Conduct technical reviews, site inspections, modelling and calculations, and support commissioning activities.
• Mentor graduate and early‑career engineers and contribute to problem‑solving and design discrepancy resolution.

Required profile

• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience on renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage).
• Registered or working towards registration on the Australian National Engineering Register (RPEV/RPEQ) – Chartered status preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget, and to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
