Senior Electrical Estimator

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to develop first‑principles cost models for overhead transmission lines and substations ranging from 66 kV to 500 kV. You will work closely with the National Transmission Estimating Manager and collaborate with construction, engineering and procurement teams across multiple Australian regions.

Key responsibilities

• Build first‑principles cost models for HV line and substation projects.
• Deliver accurate quantity take‑offs and coordinate RFQs.
• Assess pricing, maintain cost databases and define construction methods and rates.
• Support tender governance, reviews and BAFO responses.
• Participate in tender pricing reviews and ensure methodological consistency.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of HV line and substation construction.
• Proven first‑principles estimating expertise.
• Advanced Excel and experience with estimating systems.
• Engineering degree or relevant trade qualification.
• 8+ years of infrastructure estimating experience.
