Senior Electrical Drafter

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Electrical Drafter to join its Mechanical & Electrical division in Sydney. The role is central to delivering major infrastructure projects, ensuring that all electrical design documentation meets the highest standards of quality, safety and constructability.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain CAD and 3D‑modelling standards across projects.
• Lead the creation of detailed electrical designs and construction drawings using appropriate design software.
• Validate that all models and deliverables comply with Australian standards, client requirements and ACCIONA quality systems.
• Produce accurate technical drawings while adhering to project schedules, budgets and performance targets.
• Research and integrate current technical knowledge, emerging technologies and industry best practices into design solutions.
• Identify, analyse and resolve complex engineering problems through systematic risk assessment and stakeholder collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an electrical drafter on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards and construction documentation.
• Ability to lead technical teams and ensure compliance with company and project procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering safe, constructible designs.
