Senior Distribution Engineer

About the role

Egis Group is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer to join its Distribution Design team in Melbourne. You will lead detailed design and documentation for overhead and underground electricity distribution projects across Victoria.

Key responsibilities

• Manage small to medium‑scale projects and larger major projects, delivering design, tender and project documentation within schedule and budget.
• Provide quality assurance reviews, approve non‑standard designs and sign‑off distribution drawings.
• Coordinate resources, mentor junior engineers and act as project liaison for assigned phases.
• Prepare client reports, present project status and manage financial performance.

Required profile

• Four‑year Electrical Engineering degree (or equivalent) and ability to attain NER or RPEV registration.
• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical distribution design, including overhead and underground projects.
• Knowledge of Victorian utility standards (AusNet, United Energy, Powercor, CitiPower, Jemena).

Required skills

• Proficiency with overhead line design software Neara and nPoles.
• Strong AutoCAD skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office Suite competence.
