Senior Disputes & Litigation Lawyer – Debt & Asset Recovery

About the role

Law Squared is seeking a Senior Disputes & Litigation Lawyer to lead debt and asset recovery matters for national and international clients across Australian jurisdictions. You will act as a trusted business partner, managing one of the firm’s largest client accounts and driving growth in the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage debt and asset recovery cases, including breach of contract, enforcement of guarantees and indemnities.
• Serve as Account Manager for a major client, building senior stakeholder relationships and expanding the scope of work.
• Lead a small legal team, delegating tasks and ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Collaborate with the Disputes + Litigation team and other practice groups to achieve firm‑wide goals.
• Maintain client retention through proactive reporting, value demonstration, and relationship nurturing.
• Adopt and champion technology tools to improve efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Participate in client acquisition and retention initiatives.
• Support people development and management within the team.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in disputes, litigation, and debt/asset recovery.
• Proven ability to manage large client accounts and develop business relationships.
• Leadership experience supervising junior lawyers or support staff.
• Strong commercial acumen and focus on delivering outcomes.
• Willingness to embrace technology and innovative service models.
