Senior DevSecOps Engineer

About the role

Orica GroundProbe is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, secure, and manage its software delivery platforms, cloud infrastructure, and deployment automation frameworks. The role will oversee the CI/CD ecosystem, drive infrastructure automation, and embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain CI/CD platforms and build systems, ensuring efficient software delivery.
• Design, administer, and optimise cloud environments across development, testing, staging, and production using Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Implement security practices such as secure configuration, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and pipeline security.
• Lead cloud governance initiatives including access control, network segmentation, and least‑privilege implementation.
• Support ISO 27001 certification efforts by implementing controls, participating in risk assessments, and maintaining documentation.
• Provide DevSecOps guidance, lead incident response, and continuously improve platforms based on emerging trends.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant commercial experience.
• Experience working in distributed, global teams and supporting both cloud and on‑premise deployments.

Required skills

• CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins).
• Cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS).
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
• Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Linux systems administration and virtualisation.
• DevSecOps practices (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning).
• Identity and access management (RBAC, least‑privilege).
• Secure network configuration and cloud security controls.
• ISO 27001 or similar security framework experience.
• Firmware build systems (STM32/embedded) – advantageous.
• Familiarity with C# and C++.
