Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

MTX is seeking a hands‑on Senior DevOps Engineer to own environments, tooling and deployment processes for its Salesforce programs. The role bridges development and operations, working closely with architects, developers, testers and project teams to ensure predictable, repeatable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and manage Salesforce environments throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub for metadata, code, data and configuration changes.
• Define source‑control strategies, branching models, pull‑request workflows and onboarding processes.
• Coordinate environment strategy, refreshes, deployment pathways and dependencies across complex programs.
• Lead release planning, run‑book creation, production deployments, rollback planning and post‑release verification.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for Salesforce DevOps, coaching teams on automation, deployment hygiene and release standards.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of DevOps or release engineering experience, with at least two years in the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Strong consulting and communication skills, able to produce run‑books, release documentation and stakeholder updates.
• Full Australian working rights and willingness to attend client or team locations as needed.

Required skills

• Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, packaging, scratch orgs and source‑driven development.
• Git (trunk‑based development, branching, pull requests, merge conflict resolution).
• Azure DevOps and GitHub pipelines, repositories and access controls.
• Experience with DevOps tooling such as Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT or Salesforce DevOps Center.
• Familiarity with Selenium, MuleSoft and enterprise L2/L3 support environments.
