About the role
Join Australia Post’s digital technology team as a Senior DevOps Engineer, helping to design, build and maintain trusted products and services for customers across Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Automate processes and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab/Jenkins, Maven and related tools.
- Support and uplift application platform infrastructure on GCP (and other cloud platforms) to ensure stable, secure and scalable services.
- Integrate and migrate legacy platforms, working closely with technical teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
- Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment, handling both project work and BAU tasks.
Required profile
- Strong communicator with excellent presentation and documentation skills.
- Experience working with developers, architects, QA, security and operations teams.
- Comfortable with on‑call responsibilities in an Agile setting.
Required skills
- GCP, AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- CI/CD tools: GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, Nexus.
- Containerisation and security scanning: Docker, Snyk, Checkmarx.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Parameter Store, Secrets Manager.
- Programming: Python, NodeJS (or equivalent).
- NoSQL databases: DynamoDB, Redis.
- Web services: API Gateway, Route 53, Load Balancers, RDS.
