Senior Desktop Administrator

About the role

Harvey Norman, Australia's largest retailer of lifestyle products with nearly 300 stores worldwide, is hiring a Senior Desktop Administrator. Reporting to the Field Services Manager and working onsite between the corporate offices in Silverwater and Homebush West, you will be part of the End User Services Team. You will manage the operational delivery of end-user services and infrastructure and act as the secondary escalation point for the team.

Key responsibilities

• Support Windows Workstation OS (Windows 10, 11), O365, Microsoft Office, collaboration tools such as MS Teams, MDM, Active Directory, follow-me printing, remote desktop and access, third-party software installation and more.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders so that services meet their needs.
• Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and systems.
• Identify critical service delivery vulnerabilities and operational risks and put measures in place.
• Champion initiatives that improve scalability, availability, performance and adoption of new technologies.

Required profile

• Proven technology domain expertise, including Windows 10 and 11 workstation, SCCM and mobile device management.
• Experience in incident, problem, change and configuration management.
• Experience with endpoint management platforms and service desk ticketing systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of IT service delivery and vendor and supplier governance.
• Personable, able to manage competing priorities and interact across all levels of an organisation, including at 'C' level, and willing to get hands-on with critical issues.
• Right to work in Australia.
