Senior Cyber Advisor

About the role

The Senior Cyber Advisor will provide specialist cyber security advice and assurance for next‑generation operational capabilities within IAG Defence & National Security. Working in a secure, high‑performance environment, you will assess cyber risks, review system designs and embed security requirements across complex ICT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed cyber risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities.
• Review and advise on system designs for applications, databases, infrastructure, WAN/LAN, SDN and mobility services.
• Lead the development and review of security documentation (SRMPs, SSPs, SOPs, risk assessments, certification artefacts).
• Support certification and accreditation activities, including IRAP‑aligned assessments.
• Provide security architecture and risk advisory services to project teams.
• Collaborate with technical, security and governance stakeholders to capture processes and develop operational procedures.
• Mentor less experienced team members and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a cyber security analyst, advisor or assurance role within complex ICT environments.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, identify threats and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements, including certification and accreditation processes.
• Experience working in secure, fast‑moving, small‑team settings handling classified matters.
