Senior Consultant - Transaction Diligence

About the role

EY Parthenon is hiring a Senior Consultant in Transaction Diligence in Melbourne, working with experienced deal teams to analyse the financial performance and drivers of businesses across the transaction lifecycle. The role covers buy-side and sell-side engagements for private equity and corporate clients in retail, consumer products, manufacturing and industrial markets, helping clients understand value, risks and opportunities before investing. It is a hybrid position; flexible hours may be possible.

Key responsibilities

• Work across buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, analysing quality of earnings, working capital, cash flow, net debt and the key commercial drivers of the target business.
• Turn complex financial and operational information into clear, decision-useful insights and contribute to high-quality reports for investors.
• Collaborate with senior team members, clients and specialists while building transaction experience, sector knowledge and client relationships.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of financial due diligence experience in a Big 4 or second-tier consulting firm.
• Experience supporting buy-side and sell-side transactions, including financial analysis and due diligence reporting.
• A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, commerce, economics or a related discipline.
• Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or an international equivalent.
• Ideally, experience with private equity and corporate clients in retail, consumer products, manufacturing and industrial markets.
