Senior Consultant - Psychosocial Risk & Workplace Mental Health
APM Group · Melbourne
Job description
About the role
Communicorp, a specialist workplace consulting business within the APM Group, is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant based in Victoria. The role leads consulting engagements across psychosocial risk, workplace mental health, leadership capability, culture and organisational effectiveness, working with senior leaders, project teams and stakeholders. It is a hands-on senior consulting position combining client delivery, project leadership, facilitation and account management, with some interstate travel.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver evidence-based consulting engagements, supporting organisations to identify, assess and manage psychosocial hazards through systems-focused approaches.
- Run organisational reviews, stakeholder consultations, interviews, focus groups and other diagnostics, then turn findings into reports, recommendations and action plans.
- Design and facilitate workshops, leadership sessions, workforce consultations and capability-building programs.
- Manage projects end to end, with plans, milestones, budgets and governance, and escalate risks and scope changes early.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, manage expectations and support account growth through proposals, tenders and solution design.
- Maintain accurate project, client, pipeline and time-recording data, keep diaries current and support scheduling and resource allocation.
- Share expertise with the team, contribute to reusable tools and processes, and take part in professional development.
Required profile
- Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist; postgraduate qualifications in Organisational Psychology or a related field highly regarded.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychosocial risk management, workplace mental health or psychological health and safety.
- Experience delivering consulting, organisational development or workplace advisory services, and working with senior leaders and complex stakeholders.
- Ability to travel where required.
- Highly regarded: experience with Victorian organisations, psychosocial risk assessments, leadership programs or organisational change, and endorsement as an Organisational Psychologist.
Required skills
- Strong project management, risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Facilitation, presentation and consultation skills.
- Excellent written communication, including reports, recommendations, proposals and presentations.
- Strong systems, administrative, diary and recordkeeping discipline.
What we offer
- A collaborative team focused on improving workplace mental health and safety.
- Ongoing professional development, mentoring and opportunities to grow consulting and leadership expertise.
- The chance to influence service innovation, thought leadership and product development.
