Senior Consultant – Internal Audit

About the role

Protiviti, a global business consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Consultant for its Internal Audit & Financial Advisory team in Brisbane. You will work across a variety of industries, delivering high‑quality advisory and assurance services while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audit engagements, including risk assessments, audit scopes, and work programs.
• Conduct fieldwork such as interviews, documentation reviews, testing procedures, and control evaluations.
• Prepare and present clear audit reports and recommendations to senior management and audit committees.
• Supervise and mentor junior consultants, providing guidance and feedback throughout engagements.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit or audit consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Professional certification (CA, CPA, CIA) is highly regarded but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel to client sites, including out‑of‑town assignments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of internal audit frameworks such as COSO and COBIT.
• Familiarity with risk management standards like ISO 31000.
• Strong audit planning, testing, and reporting capabilities.
