Senior Communications Officer

About the role

Join a collaborative, nationally distributed team delivering high‑quality communications across Australia. This full‑time senior position supports external audiences through digital channels and reports to the Assistant Director – Public Affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Produce user‑focused communications for external audiences.
• Manage content production, media liaison, and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead digital projects to engage audiences across multiple platforms.
• Support the team with project and stakeholder management.

Required profile

• Motivated communication professional comfortable working independently and in a fast‑paced team.
• Experience in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments and ability to build effective relationships.
• Strong research, writing, editing and proof‑reading capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and supervise team members.
• Commitment to personal development and adaptability to change.

What we offer

• APS6 salary range $99,734‑$111,701 per year plus 15.4% superannuation.
